Berry Bros & Rudd are a well-established wine merchant based in St James’s, London for over 300 years. The changes included sympathetic alterations to the internal layout to provide specialist champagne, port and fine wine rooms, lighting and signage alterations. Other special projects include hospitality areas and stained glass windows.

Bakersgate Developments have had a strong working relationship with Berry Brothers & Rudd for more than a decade; founded on Bakersgate Developments’s ability to consistently deliver difficult projects within timescale and budget. During this period Berry Brothers & Rudd have worked with Bakersgate Developments on 6 projects at Heathrow, landside and airside, as well as a number of other projects within this store and a new distribution warehouse in Basingstoke.

Project Summary:

Bakersgate Developments were the appointed Project Manager and Planning Supervisor for this prestigious project. Working closely with the designers, Design Interface and the Client we were able to create a finished product that met the retail needs of the Client, was modern and slick in it’s designs and complemented the historic fabric of the building.

The solution was to create specialist satellite rooms that provided access to the wide range of ports, champagne and fine wines, whilst leaving the central hub as a historic space within the building.

The project was completed on time and within budget and the turnover of the store has increased dramatically as a result of these works.
