Client Brief
The client, a local farmer, had obtained planning consent to convert a redundant Grade II listed Sussex Barn into offices. The client had been referred to Bakersgate Developments by mutual colleagues plus we were able to demonstrate expertise and a successful track record in local barn conversions.
Why Bakersgate Developments?
Our client naturally had a desire to build a high quality refurbishment with minimal cost therefore our work at Peper Harow was of particular interest to him.
Project Summary:
Best value for money will be assisted greatly by getting the product and method of building it right. Bakersgate Developments used their experience from previous barn conversions to ensure that lessons learnt on previous projects were adopted wherever possible. In addition the expertise of specialist trade contractors also added to product enhancement and efficiency savings.
As part of our role we liaised with the conservation officer with whom we had built a good working relationship on previous projects.
The project was awarded the ‘Best Contractor’ in the Waverley Design Awards 2007.
