Client Brief
Provide Design and Build fixed lump sum price under JCT D&B Contract for a speculative residential development in St John’s Street, Farncombe, Surrey. The development itself is situated in a tight residential area and consisted of a terrace of 5 houses and a terrace of 6 houses. Of particular note is that the project has been built to comply with modern environmental standards and includes solar panels to all houses.

Project Summary:
Countrywide Design (Shottermill) Ltd secured planning consent for the construction of the 11No houses in Farncombe in 2009, works commenced on site in January 2010 with demolition of the existing Conservative Club. Each house extends over 3 floors with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All units are built with timber frames on traditional foundations.
The project completed with a JCT Contract value in excess of £1,000,000.
The project was funded by Close Brothers.
It also won The Godalming Trust ‘Civic Design Awards 2012’.
